A different and cute banner :)

Este mês está a ser complicado de cumprir com um dos meus objectivos principais deste ano que era o de postar todas as semanas...já estamos a mais de meio de maio e nem um post neste blog ainda este mês :(

Para (não) variar têm sido semanas de muito trabalho e falta de pessoal ao mesmo tempo, o que resulta em eu chegar a casa durante a semana quase sempre às 10 horas da noite sem vontade ou forças de fazer mais nada a não ser conseguir dar ainda um beijo no meu filho (e tentar limpar um pouco a cozinha!)

Os fins-de-semana passam a correr e a tentar fazer 1000 coisas ao mesmo tempo, sendo que a principal é estar com o Guilherme antes que ele qualquer dia não conheça os pais:/

Com tudo isto os meus crafts vão ficando para trás, o que bem me faz falta...especialmente à minha sanidade mental :(

Um dos  workshops do evento no Porto ("Chocolate Quente") que eu fui em Abril, foi com a Teresa Collins, uma das minhas scrapbookers (e designers) favoritas e um dos projectos dela foi um banner que imitava polaroids e que depois decorávamos a gosto. Cheguei a começar esse projecto lá no workshop, pois até levei algumas fotos, mas acabei por termina-lo umas 2 semanas mais tarde, já em casa com calma.

O tema foram as primeiras férias de verão nossas com o Guilherme quando ele tinha 1 ano, no Algarve.

Este foi o resultado:)

This month is being complicated to reach one of my main goals this year, that was to post every week ... now we are more than in the middle of May and there isn't even one post on this blog this month : (
To (not) change, i've had weeks of hard work and lack of staff at the same time, which results in getting home during the week almost every day at 10 o'clock at night without will or strength to do anything more than to be able to kiss my son (and try to clean up things a little on the kitchen!)
The weekends are running and trying to do 1000 things at once, and the main priority is being and playing with Guilherme ... before one of these days he doen's know who his parents are :/

With all this, my crafts are left behind, and i really miss them ... especially my mental sanity :(

One of the workshops from the event in Porto ("Chocolate Quente") i went in April, was with Teresa Collins, one of my favourite scrapbookers (and designers) and one of her projects was a banner that looks like polaroids and then we just decorate them. I got to start this project there in the workshop, because i even took some photos with me, but i just finished it about 2 weeks later.
The theme was our first summer vacation with Guilherme when he was 1 year old, in the Algarve .
This was the result :)

I really enjoyed doing this (and it wans't hard work at all!) and really liked the way it looked :)

Jingles SAL April Update

E mesmo com fins-de-semana fora e aniversários e prendas em scrap pelo meio, ainda consegui terminar o meu bloquinho do mês de Abril do nosso Jingles :)

Não fiz mais nada em ponto cruz este mês, mas consegui o meu objectivo principal do mês nesta arte e, por isso, estou contente. Fora que fiz várias coisinhas em scrap, portanto, mais contente ainda estou:)

And even with weekends away and birthdays gifts and scrap in the middle, i still managed to finish my April block of our Jingles :) 
I did nothing more in cross stitch this month, but i got my main goal of the month on this art, so i'm happy. I made several little things in scrap, so i'm still happier :)

E mais uma Páscoa passou e eu, mesmo nunca tendo ligado muito à Páscoa, gostei bastante da deste ano:) Foi um dia em que conseguimos juntar a família toda e foi muito bom, mesmo com chuva e frio! E no final do dia a minha equipa de futebol ainda venceu o campeonato, portanto foi um dia mesmo especial!! :D (para as meninas estrangeiras, estou a falar do grande Benfica :D)

Espero que tenham tido todas uma fantástica Páscoa, recheada de docinhos bons, e, acima de tudo, muita saúde e alegria com a família:)

Uns dias antes do grande encontro de scrap que fui e que já vos contei, foi altura de outra grande celebração, os anos da minha irmã :D

Gosto sempre de tentar fazer-lhe alguma coisa em scrap e este ano resolvi fazer um layout para colocar num quadro. Só fiz um uma vez para oferecer ao marido como prenda do dia do Pai e, confesso, que não é muito fácil...pelo menos para mim!
Levei horas a pensar como fazer o arranjo das fotos, o que colocar, que folha de fundo escolher....é que nem sequer podemos ir colando as coisas pois podemos-nos arrepender e já não dá para tirar.

Mas depois de estragar uma folha e mudar 1000 vezes a disposição, este foi o resultado final!

Acho que até ficou fofo....simples:) Pelo menos acho que mostra o quanto ela é especial na minha vida :)
Tenham um grande fim-de-semana meninas, que eu também estou a ter! :)

And one more Easter has passed and i, that never really felt very connected to Easter time, quite liked the one this year :) It was a day that the whole family got together and it was very good ,despite the rain and cold! 
And at the end of the day my football team even won the championship, so it was a really special day! : D (for foreign girls, i'm talking about the great Benfica: D) 
I hope you all had a fantastic Easter, full of good sweets, and, above all, many health and joy with family :)

A few days before the big scrap meeting that i went and have told you about, it was time for another big celebration, my sister's birthday: D 
I always like to try to make her something in scrap and this year i decided to do her a layout to put in a frame. Just did one once for father's day, to Guilherme give to his father, and, i confess, it is not very easy ... at least for me! 
It took me hours to think how to make the arrangement of photos, what to put around them, to choose the bottom sheet .... and we can't put things along we feel like, because after glue things, we can't go back!
But after ruining a sheet and change the layout a thousand times, this was the finish result!

I think it turned out cute .... simple :) At least i think that shows how much she is special in my life :)

"Chocolate Quente 2014" Event :)

No fim-de-semana passado (como algumas já devem saber pelo meu facebook:p) fui a um grande evento de scrapbooking no Porto e foi simplesmente fantástico!

No ano passado tinha ido pela primeira vez e já tinha adorado, e este ano gostei ainda mais!

Fui com a minha irmã, também grande fã desta arte, e divertimo-nos imenso!
Tivémos 5 workshops com scrapbookers estrangeiros (e uma portuguesa!) conhecidos deste meio, com os quais fizémos vários projectos lindíssimos e que nos inspiraram e fizeram ter ainda mais vontade de continuar com esta arte maravilhosa!

Foram 2 dias vividos intensamente onde também conhecemos outras meninas com a mesma paixão e com as quais convivemos, o que fez que o tempo fosse ainda melhor passado:)

Last weekend (as some of you already know by my facebook:p) i was in a big scrapbook event in Oporto and it was simply awesome!
I already had gone last year and loved it, but this year i loved even more!
I went with my sister, who is also a big lover of scrapbook, and we had a really great time! We had 5 workshops with foreign and famous scrapbookers (and one great portuguese!), with whom we did fantastic projects, which had inspired us and made us had even more desire to keep doing great scrapbook things!
It were 2 intense days where we also met other girls with the same passion and with whom we could share a lot, which made these days even better:)

Jingles SAL March Update! :)

Ora estamos no final do mês e final do mês, entre outras coisas, é sinal de fazer um update do nosso SAL Jingles e saber qual o avanço deste nosso bordado entre as meninas! :)

Começando por euzinha, tenho a dizer que mesmo com o meu projecto secreto (e que entretanto já deixou de ser secreto, mas isso é tema para o próximo post!;)), consegui terminar o bloco de Março bem antes do mês terminar...nem sei bem como lol 

Não me canso de dizer que as cores deste bordado são fantásticas, o que ainda dá mais vontade de bordar!

Pelo que vi das meninas que se inscreveram no SAL poucas ainda se manifestaram sobre o SAL...se calhar até já desistiram lol 

Sei que a Noni está prestes prestes a começar, pois juntou-se à pouco a nós, o que nos deixou bem felizes! :) Não tarda está a mostrar o seu bordado também:)

E a outra abelhinha trabalhadora deste nosso SAL é a querida Annette que não perdoa e já terminou há uns bons dias o bloco do mês:)

So we are at the end of month and the end of the month, among other things, is time of an update of our SAL Jingles and know the progress of it among the girls! :) 

Starting with myself, i have to say that even with my secret project (and which has now ceased to be secret, but that's a topic for the next post;)), i managed to finish the March block well before the month is over .. . hardly know how i did it lol

I never get tired of telling how this design has fantastic colours, which gives even more desire to stitch it! 

From what i saw about the girls who joined our SAL, very few even spoke about it ... maybe even some of them have given up lol 

I know that Noni is about to begin, as she joined us lately, which made us very happy! :) Soon enough she is showing her stitches too :) 

And another little working bee of our SAL is our dear Annette, who also finished her march block a few days before the end of the month:)

A Cinch Notebook :)

E enquanto a Primavera vai brincando connosco, ora aparecendo, ora desaparecendo, nós vamos craftando, certo?:)

Consegui terminar o meu "projecto secreto" na data estimada, o que é quase uma estreia para mim lol Também investi bastante tempo nele, por isso consegui. Agora está solenemente à espera que o seu novo dono o descubra e, esperemos, que goste!
Assim que possa, conto-vos tudo;)

Lembrei-me, entretanto, que ainda não mostrei os meus projectos de scrapbook que fiz no ano passado...ainda não os reuni todos para fazer um post mais "decente", no entanto, quero mostrar-vos um desses projectos que fiz para uma troca do blog da Margaret Sherry Lovers, a troca do Halloween!

Nesta troca decidi, mais uma vez, conjugar as minhas 2 artes preferidas...o ponto cruz e o scrap, claro. E ainda fiz uma estreia....que foi utilizar pela primeira vez a minha Cinch que tinha sido acabada de me ser oferecida pelo maridão no meu aniversário. 

Para quem não sabe, a Cinch é uma máquina de encardernação de argolas. Muito prática para imensa coisa, especialmente para quem gosta de scrap e de fazer albuns ou cadernos:)

Bordei então um pequeno gatinho fofo a espreitar de uma caneca para fazer de capa de um pequeno bloco de notas, algo sempre útil para uma mulher! :) (pensei também em mim que adoro fazer listas de tudo e, como tal, adoro cadernos e escrever:))

Este foi o resultado!

Acho que até ficou fofo...simples:)

O resto da troca teve que ter um "sabor" a Halloween já que não consegui bordar nada do tema e o resultado foi este:

While spring is playing with us, now appearing, now disappearing, we keep crafting, right? :)

I managed to finish my " secret project " on the estimated date, which is almost a first for me lol I also invested some time on it, so i did it. Now is patiently waiting for its new owner  and hopefully will be enjoyed! As soon as i can , i'll show it:)

Meanwhile i remembered that i still haven't shown my scrapbook projects that i did last year ... i still not organize them all to make a more "decent" post, however, i want to show you one of those projects that i did for an exchange from the Margaret Sherry Lovers blog...the Halloween Exchange!

In this exchange i decided, once again, combining my two favorite arts ... the cross stitch and scrap, of course. And i made ​​a debut .... that was the first time i used my Cinch machine, which was offered to me by dear hubby on my last birthday .

For those who do not know the Cinch, it's a binding machine. Very practical for many things, especially for those who like to scrap and make albums or notebooks :)

Then i stitched a small cute cat peeking from a mug to cover a small notepad, something always useful for a woman ! :) (Also thought of myself, because i love making lists of everything and, as such, i love journals and notebooks :) )

I think it turned out cute...simple:)

In the other stuff of the the exchange i had to have a small "taste" to Halloween, since i couldn't stitched anything about the theme, so this was the result.

O sol finalmente deu o ar da sua graça no nosso país, assim como, finalmente!, temperaturas quase primaveris, e o resultado foi: computador e tecnologias um pouco mais afastadas no fim-de-semana! 

Foram 2 dias a aproveitar o máximo possível o sol maravilhoso e o poder finalmente levar o Guilherme para fora de casa! Foi mesmo bom...estávamos todos a precisar desta energia solar! E parece que é para ficar, o que é maravilhoso! Ficamos logo mais bem dispostos:))

No que toca a crafts, já se sabe que não consigo ficar parada, portanto todos os dias tenho dedicado um pouco a cada arte. Um pouco menos, nestes últimos dias, é certo, mas sempre qualquer coisa:)

O tal projecto secreto continua, embora com alguns obstáculos no caminho, mas já quase ultrapassados.

E apesar de dizer que não teria grande tempo para voltar a pegar no ponto cruz, a verdade é que não consegui deixar de bordar o Jingles, portanto tenho estado a adiantar o bloquinho deste mês:) Mas mostro apenas no final do mês:)

Entretanto, em janeiro, não resisti a começar mais uma Gorjuss maravilhosa. Esta foi prenda da querida Nia no meu último aniversário e foi mais forte que eu olhar para o gráfico e não começar logo a fazer umas cruzinhas! Entretanto com estes 2 projectos mais recentes, deixei-a um pouco de lado, mas mostro-vos o ponto da situação neste momento.

Mesmo assim, para os meus "standards", até lhe dei um grande avanço. Conto voltar a pegar nela no inicio de Abril:))

The sun finally appeared around here, and finally we almost had springtime temperatures, and the result was: computer and technologies away on the weekend !

It was 2 days enjoying as much as possible the wonderful sun and i could finally take Guilherme out of the house! It was really good ... we were all in need of this solar energy! And it seems that it's here to stay, which is wonderful! It seems that we become all more cheerful, right?:)

And when it comes to crafts, we know that i can not sit still, so every day i have devoted a little to my 2 arts. Slightly less, in these lasts days, of course, but always something :)

The secret project continues, although with some bumps in the road, but almost over them:)

And although i have told that i would not have much time to cross stitch before the end of the month, the truth is that i could not stop stitching Jingles, so i've been stitching a little in this month block:) I will show it in end of the month : )

Meanwhile , in January , i could not resist to start another beautiful Gorjuss girl. This one was a gift from dear Nia on my last birthday and it was stronger than me to look at the chart and just not start doing some little crosses! However with these two latest projects, i left her a little aside, but want to show you the situation at this point.

Still, for my "standards", i think i gave it a good start:). Will start it again at the beginning of April :))

Jingles SAL February Update!

E a passar poucos minutos da meia noite do primeiro dia do mês de Março, venho-vos mostrar um update do Jingles!

No final deste primeiro mês (fevereiro), este é o aspecto no momento!

Consegui terminar o primeiro bloco e ficar a meio do segundo, o que, tendo em conta que comecei no dia 15 de fevereiro, não é nada mau! 

Vou terminar o segundo nos próximos dias, mas depois o bloquinho do mês de Março será feito só para o final do mês, pois entretanto tenho em mãos um projecto (meio secreto:p) e vou precisar de me focar nele quase exclusivamente :D Mas depois compenso rapidamente o atraso! ;)

E agora quero ver os vossos pontinhos meninas! Fui espreitar os blogs das meninas que estão a participar, mas tirando a Annette, que também está focadissima, ainda não houve mais novidades! Espero no final deste mês ver mais avanços...afinal também ainda é só o primeiro mês:))

And a few minutes after midnight of the first of March, i came to show you my update on Jingles SAL!

In the end of the month (Fevereiro), this is how it looks!

I managed to finish the first block and get into the half of the second one, which, taking into account that i started on February 15, is not too bad! 

I will finish second block in the up coming days, but then the March block will have to wait till the end of the month, because meanwhile i have a project in hands (kind of secret: p) and i need to focus on it almost exclusively: D But then i quickly will make up for the delay! ;) 

And now i want to see your stitches, girls! 

I've been looking the blogs of the girls who are participating, but besides Annette, who is working hard on it, there aren't more news:( I hope i will see more progress in the end of this month...it would be great... after all is only the first month :))

Há 3 dias atrás, nasceu a Diana, a bebé de uma das minhas melhores (e mais "antigas") amigas:) Foi a primeira amiga, assim mais próxima, a ter uma bebé a seguir a mim, por isso é sempre emocionante. Por isso e porque somos amigas desde a adolescência...desde o tempo em que, primeiro não pensávamos sequer em filhos, e depois, em que pensávamos em tê-los, mas ainda estávamos tão longe de tal...:)

Mas o tempo passa e os filhos acabam, felizmente, por acontecer. 

Será uma nova fase da vida dela...e que fase! :) E fico mesmo feliz por poder continuar do lado dela, também nesta fase, já que amizades assim com quase 20 anos de existência, não se encontram todos os dias.
Eu, por acaso, sou uma felizarda, porque tenho algumas :)

Por tudo isto, não podia deixar de voltar a bordar algo com motivos de bebé para a Diana. Coisa que já não fazia desde antes do Guilherme nascer eheheh

Assim, sendo, bordei uma toalha de banho com o nome dela e um bonequinho com uma fadinha para lhe dar toda a sorte do mundo na vida:)

Three days ago, Diana, the baby of one of my best (and "old") friends, was born:) 

It was the first friend most close to me, to have a baby after me, so it's always exciting. Because of that and also because we are friends since adolescence ... from the time that first we did not think even about having children, and then we may thought about having them, but we were still so far away from really having them... :)

But time passes by and, eventually, children happen.;)

It will be a whole new phase of her life ... and what a phase! :) And I'm really happy to be able to keep on her side also at this stage, as well as our friendships with almost 20 years of existence...which does not happen everyday. 

As a matter of fact, i'm a lucky girl , because I have some friendships like this :)

For all this, i could not help myself to stitch something for this baby. Something (stitching baby stuff) that did not happen since Guilherme was born ehehe

So, i stitched a  bath towel with her ​​name and a little fairy to wish her all the best luck in her life. :)
